Take it to anothr vet, and if they can't do anything, just let the leg grow, It'll look strange but that's the same loving puppy you had before inside.

Okay i've never heard of anything like this before but don't ever chop off something that's growing off your dogs body. Do you want it to be scarred for life?! What your considering doing would be like cutting off your own arm or leg! What did the vet say when you took your pup to them. The vet knows best... mostly. If that vet had no idea what was going on take your pup to a different one. If you do it then you probably don't know how to do stitches or anything, and who knows it might grow back again! Keep going from vet to vet until you find out what's wrong and what to do about it. Your dog just might have to be a healthy five legged deformed dog. Just make sure you do what's best for your dog, and don't chop off his leg. That's considered animal cruelty.

find an in home vet that does amputations and bring your dog to them. they will probably have a high cost, but if you really care, thats the best option. and its usually not safe to amputate an animals limb on your own. hope this helps
Don't ever chop anything off your animal yourself unless you want it to bleed to death. It may seem like he is growing an extra limb, and it is possible that he has some sort of defect. There was a lamb recently with an extra leg growing out of his neck. It looked like a little lamb leg scarf! Haha!! Not kidding!!
The problem with any extra growth is that there may be a network of veins and maybe even arteries going to the limb/growth. Cutting it off will cause your animal to bleed to death.
You need to call around to local vet clinics and ask who will see him and explain the problem. Look them up on yellowpages.com.
Your vet will determine if this is indeed a limb or if it is some sort of tumor growth and can suggest next steps. If the limb affects any major blood supply he may want to leave it as is.
what ever you do don't chop it off your self get a professional to do it. cause u don't know if there is a vital internal body part connected to it

You could chop off your dog's leg yourself if you are an experienced medical person, but if no, then, it will be best if you let a professional perform the chopping of your dog's leg. Chopping it off by yourself might lead to serious or life-threatening complications to your puppy.
What?!?! Get a professional to do it! It could get infected otherwise and she will need to be put under for the operation... and I dont think you are capable of being an anthesologist! Just look for a professional who will do it.

i think you should demand the vets do something about it and if they don't go to an animal hoispital make sure its done by a proffessioal cause if you do it the leg could get infected and it could really hurt the poor dog!!
