You don't want to surrender him but you are not able to 'quite' afford any vet attention. Sorry, but you are neglecting the dog you say you love. Your dog is sick and miserable. He needs to see a vet.

Go without something yourselves and get this poor animal some veterinary help. If you're not prepared to do this you need to surrendered him to a shelter where he will get the help he needs.

It's not about you or that you can't bear to part with him. It's about the welfare of the dog and what is best for him. He has no quality of life.

It's against the law to withold vet attention from a sick animal. You can be prosecuted and the fine will cost more than a vet visit. Plus you will have a conviction for animal cruelty against your name.

Youve named all these unfortunate issues and you don't want to get rid of him...Then i would find a vet in the area asap-one that would let me pay the bill off and describe what you've just described.

Dogs need good food, shelter, warmth, exercise, shelter, attention, training, love and vet care-so please take him to a vet. They are trained professionals.

what do you mean you can't quite? You either can or can't. And regardless of whether you can or CARE (well whoever owns the dog, if you live with your parents) to take it to the vet.. a vet is what it needs. None of us will be able to fix him.

What do you mean black? You didn't even say what colour the dog was? It sounds like a fungal thing to me but god only knows

If you can't afford to get an ill, living thing help, then you need to borrow money from someone or get rid of him. AKA to someone who can afford to keep their animal.

He could be allergic to flea bites. Give him a bath with a flea shampoo. Clean his ears out carefully with a Q tip and get some Mite meds at Walmart.

vet! it can be an infection

bring him to your nearest rspca they will take a look at him/her for free.
