My dog who is about 4 months old is housebroken , but goes crazy urinating when you play with her?

when i come home and greet her she immediateley start urinating wil this go away over time??

She is just easily excitable, it is very common in puppies. She will probably grow out of it as she gets older.

In the meantime, when you get home, ignore her for the first few minutes until she has calmed down a little bit.

When you do greet her, try and tone it down so that she doesn't get as excited.

This will not go away on its own! When you get home, ignore your dog. Sorry but training isn't always easy. Let her settle down for a few minutes, then give her a quick pat or two and don't let her get excited!

You probably shouldn't coddle your dog alot either. She is obviously emotional and needs to learn to control that-with your help. This behaviour is often coupled with seperation anxiety and you better do alot of training now or your dogs' problem will become a terrible one.

She's just exited to see you.

How much of a big deal do you make when you leave and come back? If it's any more than a pat on the head, that is probably the problem. He gets so frenzied up in the moment of attention you're giving her, that she loses control of her bladder for a minute and whoosh. lol

When leaving and arriving, limit the attention. Only pet her normally at least a couple of minutes before you're ready to go and a few minutes after you're back.

It probebly wont go away. My old poodle BoBo used to have that problem. It started when he was a pup we got him at 6 months old and he would piddle, not a full pee but some leaked out on my Grandfathers shoes everytime he seen him. It lasted until my granfather passed away so id say about 5 years. It is just from being overly excited and a squirt or too may come out. The only way i think to stop it is to calm the dog down. Dont make a big deal out of leaving and coming home. After a while, your dog may calm down and not be soo overly excited when you come home. Anyway its not good to make a big deal out of leaving ang coming back because that can make a dog dependent. Then you may have to deal with seperation anxiety and trust me, next to your little piddle probem, thats a WHOLE different issue to deal with that no one wants to have.lol

Your puppy gets pretty excited. That is normal. Sometimes with that excitement comes the problem you are speaking about. This is normal -but I think it can be fixed.

You need for her to NOT get so excited when she sees you. She needs to be concentrating on the commands you give her when you come home -so she eases gently into her greeting you, rather than going nuts.

You might check out some good dog training guides, so that you can train your dog. Once you bring some structure into the dog's life, you will have much less of running around, acting crazy and going potty.

You could check out this:

Start training while the dog is young -a pup.

Hope this helps!

This happens with most of the dogs. Nothing to worry about. It is a way to show their excitement. I have had this daschund for 6 years and she keeps on peeeing. I hope it would get better as it depends on breed to breed. All i can say is that my dog hasn't stopped this habit yet.

When you get home, IGNORE the dog. Give her NO attention until AFTER you let her out to pee.

Google submissive urination and excitement urination and read up on these problems at various websites -!-

Some dogs are like that and it usually does not go away. It may lessen over time but when she gets really excited it may continue to happen.

you should not talk to the dog when you go in the door . dont let her go crazy to much . she shuld grow out of it

bye
