My dog is sick, can you help?

Recently my dachshund (wiener dog) has been sick. His stomach is hard and bigger then usual, he seems to be having trouble breathing, and makes vomiting noises but never vomits. When he does vomit, he vomits only what seems to be water.

I'm starting to get worried, he's been like this for 2 days. Can someone help?

take him to the vet or give him some dogie biscuits so his tummy wont feel hard give him a limit of food and try to walk him outside more often!!!Hope your dog gets well soon and very early!!!!hope it helps too!!!

his stomache might have twisted you need to get him to a vet ASAP... Google emergency vets in your area and go to one tonight

Gee didn't it ever occur to you to take the dog to a vet? A hard extended stomach is not normal and should have been a signal that your dog needed medical attention. this is just common sense.

take your dog to the vet.

if your SURE it's a male.. take it to the vet...

humpty dumpty sat on a wall...

take him to te vet asap this can be something seirous

maybe he has parvo? if he doe take him to the vet right away cause it can get worse fast! and im just telling you right now its gunna cost you about 2 or 3 hundred just to be seen and giving medicine, but you can leave him at the vet till its gone. but that costs more. we took our dog home when he had it cause we didnt have enough money to let him stay the night there and he got fine with the medicine they gave us.

if its not that then try milk and garlic that helped my other dog long time ago.

hope he gets better :(

GET HIM TO THE VET IMMEDIATELY!!! The same thing happened to my neighbors dog and he was dead by the end of the week.

You should have been worried about this and taken him to the vet 2 days ago, when you first noticed his stomach was hard and bloated, when he started having trouble breathing, when he first started vomiting, when he first started trying to vomit and couldn't, which means he had nothing in his stomach to vomit, which means he probably has not been eating and probably not drinking much water if any either. It sounds like your dog has Bloat. If you don't drop everything you are doing right now, including getting off your computer and get this poor dog to an Emergency Vet, if he does have Bloat, he will die. No excuses about the vet not being open or not being able to afford it. This is a situation where your dog needs help right now or you will lose him. Don't wait for answers here. We cannot help him. Gently pick up your dog and take him to the vet before it's too late.

Call the vet right now or take him to a 24 hour animal hospital.

He could have chewed on something and it is lodged in his digestive tract (you would be amazed at the things they eat). He could have an internal injury or bleeding. It could be an infection, poisoning. I would strongly suggest that you take your pet to an emergency vet and let them decide the best course of action. I would never let it continue on for days. It is your pets health. Has it been eating? Has he been just laying around? Is he using urinating and defecating regularly? Is he drinking as he normally would? If you answered no to any of these then it is time to get on a phone and take care of your animal.

So? Did you take your pet to the vet?

Why are you letting your dog suffer like this??? Two days now!!?? Please, help your dog, by getting him to a vet.

Oh, my! I am sorry. :( awhhh :(

I think the best thing is to do is to take him to the vet SOON!

Please, do it for him.

He is obviously not feeling his best.
