My 30lb dog may have eaten my adderall xr pill, what should i be looking for in the vomit?

We induced vomitting like the doctor said, and she threw up, but i didn't see any form of the capsule, or any of the beads inside the capsule. It had only been 20 minutes after she may have eaten it, and the medication is extended release. So is there anything that i should be seeing to confirm whether or not she ingested one?

lol.

20 minutes was plenty of time for the pill to have dissolved. But don't worry, I really don't think the adderall will hurt your dog. While Adderall is mixed amphetamine salts, the kind that is legally prescribed is not much at all per pill. The highest each pill can contain is 30mg. Especially with XR's - which are practically nothing in my opinion. Your dog is fine... it only ate one pill. If something were going to happen it would have already happened.

[edit]: Also, just to ease your mind even more - they test this stuff on Rats at doses up to 100mg+ before even considering administering it to humans. If small rats are unharmed at doses that high, then surely a dog can stand 10, 20, or 30 milligrams of the stuff. Nothing to worry about.

Dogs stomach has a lot more acid than humans do.

It has probably already been dissolved,

and any vomiting you can cause will just get more of it out.

You probably won't see any signs of it.

Hope the dog is ok.

You could possibly make her throw up again to make sure. Or just wait until they go poop and you could see. You can make her throw up by giving her hydrogin proxide ... afterwards make her eat BLAND food only. I had to do that when my dog ate chocolate.
